The challenge: explaining more than a drone
Ebbon Intelligence developed RALPH™, an automated robotic marketing assistant designed to help automotive retailers present vehicles professionally and efficiently online.
The challenge was to communicate why the market needed a complete solution, rather than simply demonstrate a drone taking shots of a car (our previous video already covered that)

This film needed to show the journey from setting up the system and capturing vehicle imagery to preparing and uploading content for digital showrooms. It also had to make the process look straightforward, while explaining the product's commercial benefits to an audience with different levels of familiarity with the market and technology.
There were several constraints. The film had to be short enough to show live at RALPH's official launch, and remain useful afterwards across the client's website and sales process. Production also took place while cosmetic aspects of the product were still being finalised.

Our approach: refine the story before filming
The original brief contained a number of features and benefits to communicate. Sound Motive worked with Ebbon Intelligence to refine the script from around 150 words to 104, prioritising the information the audience needed to understand.
Rather than produce a chronological account of the product's development, we focused on the commercial proposition: the problem with getting good vehicle imagery online quickly and consistently, and how RALPH™ was designed to address it.
The result was a tighter narrative built around five priorities: consistency, image quality, speed, simplicity and authentic vehicle imagery.
Campaign Concept & Copywriting
We developed the campaign line “From lift-off to listed – in minutes” to creatively articulate the product’s core value proposition in a memorable, commercially relevant format. The concept distils a complex technical workflow (moving from automated image capture to content ready for online vehicle listings) into a sharp, benefit-driven hook for the audience. According to Ebbon Intelligence, this creative execution effectively anchored the verbal identity of the wider RALPH™ activation campaign.
Visualising the invisible
Some of the product's most important processes could not be shown directly through conventional filming. We used motion graphics, visual effects and carefully designed transitions to help viewers follow what was happening.
Key decisions included:
- Showing the output: We incorporated actual RALPH-generated imagery so viewers could see the result, not just the equipment. As the client put it, “We aren’t selling the drone but the output”.
- Revealing hidden processes: Picture-in-picture effects and visual transitions helped explain processes such as image capture and upload that would otherwise be difficult to see.
- Keeping the focus on the proposition: Where interface details were still being developed or could distract from the story, we considered visual treatments and used subtle effects to maintain clarity.
- Balancing different footage sources: We combined RALPH™ automatically captured media with our own professionally filmed footage, editing the sequences to create a coherent viewing experience.
- Planning for reuse: The narrative and visual approach were designed to support a launch film that could continue to serve the business beyond the event itself.
The finished film combined live-action footage, editing, motion graphics, visual effects and sound design in a single 54-second promotional asset.

Life beyond launch
The film premiered at Ebbon Intelligence's RALPH™ launch event on 16 September 2026. It has since been used on the client's website and in its sales process, with further exposure through online video, trade press and social sharing.
The final film serves short and medium term purposes:
- Introduced the product at launch to a live event audience
- Attracts press attention and engagement on social media
- Concisely explains the proposition to prospective customers and other stakeholders across the client's marketing and sales activity
What the client said...
“Sound Motive got the key messages we needed to tell about our innovative product and turned a complex proposition into a slick marketing video. This video was a key part of our launch event and continues to add value as an asset for our website, sales process and PR.”- Ebbon Intelligence
Communicating complex products clearly
The RALPH™ project demonstrates how effective product video can start well before the cameras roll. By refining the brief, prioritising the commercial story and finding visual ways to explain processes that cannot easily be filmed, Sound Motive helped turn a technically sophisticated product proposition into a concise, reusable marketing asset.
For technology businesses preparing to launch an unfamiliar product, the challenge is not simply to show how it works. It is to help the right audience understand why it matters.
